2018 Conference Activities

Conference activities are still in the planning stage, but we can say for certain that they will not include a football game.  Sorry; AUREO would be competing for seats and hotel rooms with a very large, rabid, and well-heeled alumni/ae population, so we had to choose a non-football-game weekend.

We will be offering activities TBD on Saturday evening and on Sunday morning, including a golf outing at the Warren Golf Course, site of the 2019 US Senior Open.

Conference participants, including family members, who stay at the Morris Inn will have complimentary access to the newly opened, state-of-the-art fitness facility at Notre Dame. For Morris Inn guests, please ask for the guest pass at the front desk. The Smith Center for Recreational Sports in the Duncan Student Center offers a variety of cardio and weight equipment, and it is a 5-minute walk from the Morris Inn. Please see the following for their facility hours and facts. For Fairfield Inn guests, fitness facility details have yet to be released.

For walkers and runners, there are various fitness routes around campus. Please refer to the following route map.

For general campus directions, please refer to the following map, or try out our interactive map on your mobile device.

Chicago is located 90 miles northwest of the University of Notre Dame, and the city offers a variety of other things to do. It attracts over 50 million visitors every year, both domestically and internationally. For anyone interested in staying in Chicago before or after the AUREO conference, please visit these links for popular activities, attractions, and other events.

In addition, there are several good baseball games scheduled before and after the conference, including the famous White Sox vs. Cubs and the Cardinals vs. Cubs rivalries. Schedules are subject to change. We strongly encourage attendees to check each team's official schedule for game times as the date draws nearer.
