Interactions among peers is AUREO’s strongest benefit. Members feel free to contact others regarding questions or advice. An up-to-date worldwide membership directory is available to members on-line to help facilitate this. The annual conference and access to the members-only Listserv are also effective networking tools.

Member Institutions

AUREO’s member institutions represent most major universities in the United States and Canada.


Colleges and universities with real estate activities, or foundations which are directly associated with and support a college or university real estate activities, or a public authority whose mission is to support one or more colleges or universities are encouraged to become Voting Members. AUREO does not permit membership to be held by organizations other than these. No vendors or unaffilliated individuals may join the organization or attend its meetings. Individuals who have been representatives of Voting Members but who are no longer employed in that capacity or retained by a Voting Member may be named Associate Members of the Association by the officers of the Association. The mailing list is never disclosed. You may access AUREO’s Non-Discrimination Statement or request one from AUREO.


The annual dues are $100.00 per institution, payable by July 1st. Questions about dues should be directed to the Treasurer. If you need it to process your dues payment, AUREO’s EIN is 91-1628561.

Our Members Area contains documentation from previous conferences, meeting minutes, a forum, and much more. To Utilize the AUREO Listserv

Once your institution has completed the application form, you may request access to our Listserv. The Listserv is a real time email forum for comments and questions from and to all who have signed up for the site.
