• Drive to Whittier and go through the longest dual-use tunnel in America. There isn’t much in Whittier, but it’s beautiful. Grab lunch and snacks and take stops along the way for photos.
• Fishing options require more of a drive in March. You may be able to book Halibut or Winter King charters out of Seward or Homer (Seward is a 2.5-hour drive from Anchorage, Homer is 4.25; there will not be a lot open in March, so plan ahead on food)
